Meet Your Farmers
Real People. Real Stories. Real Coffee.

We believe coffee tastes better when you know who grew it.
Most coffee brands can't tell you much about where their beans come from — and even fewer can name the farmers behind the bag. We think that's a problem.
At Lost & Found, we work directly with smallholder farmers across Central America — people we've shared meals with, walked farms with, and built long-term friendships with. This isn't just direct trade — it's personal.
We don’t just buy coffee. We partner with people.
Seilyn & Adolfo Abarca —
Tarrazú, Costa Rica
The first farm. The first friendship. The beginning of everything.
Our relationship with Seilyn began in the hills of Tarrazú, but it quickly became something much more than a sourcing connection. Seilyn and her husband Adolfo are the heart and soul behind Blue Sunrise Coffee, a small, family-run farm nestled in the lush Brunca region of Costa Rica. Their approach to farming blends traditional methods with a deep reverence for the land and a desire to create something meaningful — not just for their family, but for the future of their entire community.
We met Seilyn through a referral from our friend Don Sergio, and within minutes of hearing our story, she invited us to her home. We weren’t strangers for long — by the time we left, we were family.
La Mona Finca —
Tarrazú, Costa Rica
A biodiverse sanctuary where tradition, family, and wild nature produce one of Costa Rica’s most extraordinary coffees.
Andrés is the steward of La Mona Finca, a breathtaking family farm tucked deep in the Tarrazú mountains of Costa Rica. His passion for sustainable agriculture and biodiversity has turned this land into a national ecological treasure — untouched by deforestation for nearly a century.
Together with his daughter Bianca and extended family, Andrés cultivates exceptional coffee using organic methods that protect the surrounding rainforest and support vibrant ecosystems. Their story is one of tradition, resilience, and vision — and their Anaerobic coffee is among the most complex and beautiful we've ever tasted.
Afaorca Cooperative —
Tarrazú, Costa Rica
Organic farming in harmony with nature, powered by community.
Stewarded by a group of over 28 farming families, Afaorca (Asociación de Familias Orgánicas de los Cerros Caraigres) is a farmer-led cooperative founded in 1996 to champion sustainable, organic coffee production in Costa Rica’s Tarrazú highlands.
Their commitment to quality, community, and the environment shines through in every cup.
